After five years in hiatus from the showbiz industry, John Lloyd Cruz returned and signed up for a contract with Willie Revillame.
Revillame announced that a sitcom will be produced starring himself, Cruz, and Andrea Torres and will be aired on GMA Network.
“Pinayagan na si John Lloyd ni Sir Carlo na magtrabaho sa production ko dahil magpa-partner kami sa isang project with the help of Miss Annette Gozon-Valdes.
“Kinausap ko si Sir Carlo para ipagpaalam si John Lloyd at napakabait niya. Pinayagan niya si John Lloyd sa pinaplano namin na sitcom, kasama si Andrea Torres.”
Andrea Torres is set to be the love interest of Cruz in the upcoming sitcom.
In an interview, Torres is excited about the project and said that it is a huge honor to be working with the award-winning actor.
“Nakakatuwa naman po. If ever, it would be a great honor. He is a brilliant actor and I am a fan.
“I’m sure enjoy po gawin ang project na ‘yun.”
Torres is grateful to Revillame for considering her to be part of the sitcom.
With the sitcom still in the developing process, it already has gained a lot of attention due to the history of both soon-to-be lead stars’ relationships with Ellen Adarna and Derek Ramsay. Torres is Ramsey’s ex-girlfriend, while Cruz is the father of Adarna’s son.
