As ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ welcomes new characters in their show, will they still pursue their rumored ending?
New characters have entered the long-running Kapamilya teleserye. One of these is Cristina Gonzales.
Gonzales will play Amalia Mante, the mother of Lia (Jane de Leon). Her role in this teleserye, marks her comeback to showbiz after 15 years of serving as a politician.
Other new characters include Simon Ibarra, William Lorenzo, Paulo Angeles, Enzo Pineda, Christian Vasquez, and Aya Fernandez.
The addition of new show members eliminated the rumors of ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ upcoming ending.
However, in an interview with G3 San Diego on Monday, Angel Aquino accidentally divulged that the show is set to have its final lock-in taping.
G3 asked Angel: “Wait, Angel, hanggang kailan pa ba ang Probinsyano, would you know?”
Angel confirmed about their ‘ultimate last lock-in’ but, she is uncertain about the final schedule.
“But we still don’t know that. We don’t know if they’ll change their mind.”
When asked if it is already sure, Angel replied: “Hindi nga natin alam, but we’ll see.”
Angel also mentioned that the characters’ roles are in ending mode but, it is still up to ABS-CBN if they wish to extend the show.
If the show will not yet push its finale, maybe it is Angel’s character that is about to end.
‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ is starred by Coco Martin. It started airing on September 28, 2015.
Recently, the show moved its airing on TV5. That move helped the show bounce back in terms of TV ratings after the non-renewal of ABS-CBN’s franchise.
Meanwhile, the said teleserye continues to reign supreme in terms of online views.
