Social Media personality and dancer DJ Loonyo reportedly transferred to TV5’s PoPinoy. Does this mean he left GMA’s All Out Sunday for TV5’s new show?
In PEP.ph’s interview with DJ Loonyo at PoPinoy‘s virtual media conference, he responded cautiously when asked if he will still participate in All-Out Sunday now that he has a show on TV5.
“Hindi po naging madaling desisyon, kasi importante rin po sa akin ang AOS at malaki ang utang na loob ko sa kanila.”
He got asked why he accepted the offer to be one of the headhunters in PoPinoy–the dancer-choreographer said he wants to influence others with his skills.
“Nag-decide na po ako na pasukin ang PoPinoy, kasi magandang opportunity rin po yun. And as headhunter, magagamit din po yung knowledge ko as dancer to help and influence.”
He even stressed that he finds it difficult to accept that he will be leaving AOS. His relationship with GMA Network’s Sunday noontime variety show is unique to him.
He has been a part of GMA Network’s weekend variety show for seven months. He danced at AOS and helped with the choreography in the “Cypher” segment.
PoPinoy is the first national reality talent show to follow aspiring Filipino boy band members as they compete for a spot as the next Pinoy pop idols.
PoPinoy, the newest show on TV5, demonstrates that Filipino artists can compete with international acts.
By combining cutting-edge production, a rigorous selection and training process, and A-list hosts and judges like Maja Salvador, Jay R, Kayla Rivera, and DJ Loonyo–PoPinoy is set to show the world the next global pop sensation.
