A heated argument between singer-cum-Duterte loyalist Richard Poon and social media personality Jover Laurio is popularly known as “Pinoy Ako Blog” created a buzz earlier this Sunday, May 2.
The argument stemmed after Poon defended Duterte regarding whose to blame with the West Philippine Sea losing to China.
Poon cited a headline from a news publication pointing that the Aquino Administration did nothing to protect the disputed water against China. One of his sources was an article made by Jay Sonza, a renowned fake news peddler.
People who are dumb, will just eat simple slogans:) But Pinoys who are not stupid will RESEARCH ONLINE about the WPS issue, clue: 2012✅ pic.twitter.com/qt1rOLub0L

This tweet of the singer prompted Laurio to respond via her Facebook page. Tagging Poon, she then criticized him for selectively choosing articles that would suit the current Administration.
“Ginamit mo nga ang google, nilubos-lubos mo na lang sana ang pag-research.”

The singer fired back, commenting on the Facebook post of Laurio, supposedly presenting facts. However, the comment was deleted by the admin of the page.
In the deleted comment, Poon wrote that he is not “oblivious” to the 2016 Hague ruling. But, what he could not accept is that the personality, through the post, coined him as “traydor”.
Over Twitter, Poon took a swipe at Laurio for “degrading” him.
“@PinoyAkoBlog, bakit mo tinurn-off yung comments nung sumagot na ako ng detalyado sayo? Tapos inerase mo pa yung mahabang comment ko sa reply ng siniraan mo ako? Unfair ka kapatid.”

In another tweet, the singer expressed his disappointment after the personality deleted his comment. Poon then called Pinoy Ako Blog a “coward” for trying to defame him.
What a coward you are @PinoyAkoBlog, sisiraan mo ang tao, tapos pag sumagot ng detalyado na maayos, turn-off comments and erase the multiple facts I laid out? So lame.

The personality responded explaining that she did not turn the comments off. She merely blocked the trolls which the singer brought upon the page.
Luh di kita kapatid. I did not turn-off the comments. I just blocked your trolls na binitbit mo. Try mo magcomment ulit makaka-comment ka. 😁 https://t.co/MRpg4vjfXS

In another tweet, still addressing the singer, Laurio ridiculed Poon for stating incorrect information. The comment, which was deleted, was shared by the personality. There, she reprimanded the information which was “laid” by the singer.
Laurio clarified that she did not get inoculated, slamming the statement of the singer that she was already vaccinated. Furthermore, the personality clarified that her post was not intended to address the singer as a traitor.
Funny to si Richard Poon.
First pic is my post. Second pic is his Comment.

In 2016, an international tribunal in The Hague has ruled in favor of the Philippines, awarding the country the exclusive ownership in the disputed waters.
Moreover, the tribunal concluded that China cannot impose its “nine-dash line” since the exclusive economic zone or EEZ of a country must be within 200 nautical miles of its nearest landmass.
However, Chinese President Xi Jinping did not honor such a ruling.
“China will never accept any claim or action based on those awards,” said Pres. Jinping, refusing to accept the tribunal’s decision.
