National Collegiate Athletic Association Season ’96 returns with a new home sparking hope for collegiate athletes and sports fans.
During the media conference for the sports primer Rise Up Stronger: Road to NCAA Season ’96, host Martin Javier said that the partnership sparks hope for collegiate athletes and sports fans.
“I think it kind of sparks hope sa kanila na “uy mayroon palang patutunguhan yung pagtra-training ko. Matutuloy yung season namin, at least yung pagpapa-condition ko yung pag-e-effort ko with the team kumbaga mare-rewardan po iyon.” At the same time din, para sa collegiate fans, sa sports fans dito sa Pilipinas, also gives them hope.”
Co-host Sophia Señoron said that the NCAA-GMA Network partnership would give the recognition and attention that the schools and athletes deserve, saying that it’s a blessing in disguise.
“The athletes, the schools deserve talaga a lot more attention than they’re given.”
“Not only matutuloy ang NCAA, but we are giving them the recognition and the attention that these athletes deserve. So parang this has been a blessing in disguise.”
In 2020, GMA Network announced its partnership with the National Collegiate Athletic Association.
Javier also said that he felt surprised with the largescale coverage of the NCAA-GMA Network partnership.
“I was surprised yung finally na-reveal na sa akin kung gaano kalaki sya na project, gano kalaki sya na platform.”
Javier and Señoron join forces to host the Rise Up Stronger: Road to NCAA Season ’96 to help fans know each collegiate athlete. They will host a 21-episode sports primer starting May 23 before the opening ceremonies and sporting events of Season ’96.
