Morissette reveals she usually gets sick before a big event but still pulls through her performance.
In the press conference for Morissette’s version of Shine for its 25th year, the singer recalled times when she was not in her polished state as a performer.
“Naku, napakadami po. There are so many to mention na even some I wouldn’t dare to.”
Morissette added that she usually gets sick during a big event, recounting her Himig Handog performance.
“Pero, for some reason tuwing may malaking event sa akin, nagkakasakit ako and that affects me, syempre yung boses ko. Even po nung grandfinals ng Himig Handog. Ang dami kong pinagdaanan na mga moments na syempre hindi natin pwede ipakita.”
However, she always tells herself to hold on until the performance ends to pull through.
“In moments like that, I just really try to tell myself, kapit lang, you can do this, and then after, when everything’s done, we can calm down. Pero, napakadami po, there’s so many moments na ganon na I’m not in my top shape, but I also have to pull through.”
In celebration of the 25th year of the song Shine, Morissette released her official version of the iconic ballad with Star Music, which came out this Friday, May 21. The music video for the song is up for release this Sunday, May 30, on Morissette’s YouTube Channel with a TV launch in ASAP Natin To.
