Momshies Karla Estrada, Jolina Magdangal, Melai Cantiveros react to five years of their morning talk show, Magandang Buhay.
In the media conference for their upcoming Star Cinema comedy film, Momshies! Ang Soul Mo’y Akin, the Magandang Buhay hosts, expressed gratitude for the five years of their morning talk show.
Cantiveros expressed her gratitude to their guests.
“Thank you Lord, sa mga pagsasama namin, sa mga natutunan namin sa mga guest namin yun ang pinaka-grateful kami.”
Estrada then echoed Cantiveros, adding how the guests inspired both the hosts and the viewers.
“Sa mga aral na nakukuha natin sa mga guest natin sa loob ng limang taon. Hindi lang nila alam kung gaano nila tayo nainspire, natulungan sa araw na iyon.”
Magdangal recounted how the show grew from a three-month filler program to a five-year-long morning show.
“Yung akala namin na three months, di ba? Akala namin isang filler lang at pwedeng three months lang lalong umano pero, nagulat kami parang ilang birthdays na, ilang anniversary na ang nacecelebrate natin dito sa Magandang Buhay.”
The ABS-CBN morning talk show Magandang Buhay aired its pilot episode on April 18, 2016, and has recently celebrated its 5th anniversary.
As for their on-screen and off-screen friendship, the morning talk show hosts each expressed their gratitude for their bond.
Cantiveros noted her “probinsyana” roots, thanking the Magdangal and Estrada for befriending her.
“Ako sobrang grateful talaga ako. Kasi syempre, bilang probinsyana na ako pinakagrateful talaga sa lahat. Lalo na kapag nakikita ko silang dalawa na, nakakasama ko sila.”
Magdangal noted how thankful she was to have found a friendship with no judgment at the current stage of her life.
“Kaya very thankful ako dahil nakakita ako sa ngayong chapter ng buhay ko as nanay, na mayroon akong matatakbuhan na walang judgment, at walang arte arte, iupo natin to, pag-usapan natin ito. Ganito ka, ganyan ka. Ano yung pwede namin gawin sayo.”
Estrada thanked the two for the unexpected friendship, noting the quality of bond they have.
“I’m really grateful for this unexpected friendship. Ito yung tinatawag na unexpected friendship. Minsan totoo talaga yung sinasabi na hindi yung quantity, it’s the quality you can give a person.”
With them are the members of the sidesplitting comedic cast, Thou Reyes, Manuel Chua, DJ Jhai Ho, Mitoy Yonting, Miko Gallardo, Juliana Parizcova Segovia, Pia Moran, Eris Aragoza, Francis Mata, Johannes Rissler, and Jason Francisco.
