Kapuso stars Michael V and Manilyn Reynes confirmed the season-ending of Kapuso’s longest-running sitcom Pepito Manaloto.

Pepito Manaloto lead stars announced the sitcom’s season finale after airing for more than 11 years.
According to the two, the current pandemic situation played a big factor in the decision to end the top-rating Kapuso comical show.
Michael V said since the start of the pandemic the production got challenged on how to get through with the taping which required different protocols.
“Nung nag-start ang pandemic, aminin ko, nahirapan talaga kami and we have to find ways para to keep with the times, and at the same time makapagbigay ng quality entertainment sa audience.”
“Alam naman natin na mahirap talaga ang taping nitong mga nakaraang months or a year,” Manilyn added.
Bitoy also shared happiness that despite the current situation, their loyal viewers remained and stayed with them. And because of that, while they decided to end this season, a new chapter of Pepito is expected to come up soon.
“Happy pa rin naman kami na kahit papaano, ang mga tao, hindi bumibitaw. Nandiyan pa rin sila simula noon hanggang ngayon na nakakapagbigay kami ng entertainment sa panahon na ito.
“We have to step back and reassess kung ano ang puwedeng gawin dito sa situation na ito. We’ve come up with something better and that would be the next book or the next chapter ng Pepito.”
Pepito Manaloto‘s finale will air on Saturday, May 29. It will be replaced by its prequel Unang Kwento, which will feature the story of how Pepito and Elsa’s love story began.
