Momshies Melai Cantiveros, Jolina Magdangal, Karla Estrada share the secret to their friendship over the years.
In their media conference for their upcoming Star Cinema comedy film, Momshies! Ang Soul Mo’y Akin, the Magandang Buhay hosts, revealed how their friendship works.
For Cantiveros, she said that they have no secrets, and their on-screen chemistry transcends off-cam.Â
“Ang sikreto namin is, wala kaming tinatago. Wala kaming sekreto, wala pala kaming sekreto kasi kung ano yung nakikita nyo sa screen, ganon din talaga kami sa off-screen.”
For Estrada, she noted the nature of their relationship, emphasizing their understanding, open communication, and respect.
“I guess understanding each other, no judgment, listening to one another. Open communication. Whether may gusto kang sabihin na hindi ka komportable, kaya mong sabihin kasi turing mo kaibigan ka nya kaibigan mo sya. So it’s actually constant communication and respect.”
As for Magdangal, she considers themselves as soulmates, noting how they rely on each other.
“Sa Your Face pa lang. Dun pa lang parang naramdaman naman namin na parang alam mo yun yung parang soulmate kayo. Tapos nung nagkaroon pa ng magandang buhay, mas lalo pa naming inenjoy yung isa’t isa dahil pare-parehong mommy eh. At tsaka kami kami din yung nagtatakbuhan sa isa’t isa kapag kailangan namin ng mga tulong.”
When asked if they have had “tampuhan” moments within their circle of friends, Estrada said that they all have bad days, “May kanya kanya kaming moments, may mga araw na hindi maganda ang gising namin.”
Cantiveros then clarified their “tampuhan” moments helped forge their friendship. She also added that their respect and understanding serve as pillars of their bond.Â
“Hindi namin ito matatawag na friendship kung wala kaming tampuhan na nangyari pero, mas nananaig sa amin ang respeto and ang understanding.”Â
Magdangal also clarified that they make sure to resolve their misunderstandings before the day ends.
“At hindi umaabot ng lagpas isang araw yun. Nagkakaroon ng diskusyon na very very slight, tapos maayos din agan yun.”
Estrada then explained that their sulking moments were more of miscommunication between the trio.
“There’s no tampu actually na masasabi eh, it’s actually a miscommunication. Pero, pagtatawanan namin ang isa’t isa.”
