Kapuso Mom Luane Dy admitted having fears of becoming a mother before giving birth to her first baby.
In a zoom conference with fellow Kapuso Moms for Mother’s Day this Sunday, May 9, Dy shared, “Sa akin yung maging nanay, yun period. Yung maging mabuting ina. Yung para sa anak mo.”
Dy also admitted not wanting to become a mother at first, recalling her mom’s struggle as a single mother.
“Nung una naman hindi talaga ako sure, kung gusto ko maging nanay. Kasi sobrang takot na takot ako, kasi abandoned kami ng mom ko eh. So, lahat ng pinagdaanan nya nakikita ko kung gaano kahirap maging isang ina. So parang natakot na ako na baka maging ganon din yung experience ko. Kakayanin ko kaya.”
However, her perspective changed when she gave birth to her first child, Jose Christiano.
“Parang wala akong tiwala sa sarili ko na kaya ko. Pero yun, nung dumating si Christiano lahat pala kaya mo. Lahat possible.”
Dy is married to Kapuso actor Carlo Gonzales. They tied the knot in 2019 after dating for eight years.
As a Kapuso Mom, Dy is known for her hosting stint with GMA Network’s morning show, Unang Hirit. She also became a showbiz anchor for ’24 Oras’ and ‘Balitanghali’.
As an actress, she has appeared in multiple teleseryes, such as ‘The Wedding’ and ‘I Heart You, Pare’.
