When it comes to music, the newest member of The Squad Plus, PBB: Connect third placer Kobie Brown, idolizes actor James Reid.
In the virtual launch of the newest members of Squad Plus where Kobie is part of, he shared that he is a big music fan.
“I’m always a big music fan. Like music is literally my life. But I’m not doing anything. I’m just listening to any kind of genre.
“I always love singing. I am a big fan of Michael Jackson probably my favorite artist.”
He is also trying to create his brand of music, even got himself into DJ’ing. He focuses on mixing house music in the hopes that someday, he would become a recording artist.
“I got into DJ’ing during the pandemic. And I’ve been DJ’ing every day, practicing mixing house music. And hopefully, in the future, I would be a recording artist. Because I have wanted to create my own music,” shared Brown.
But when it comes to creating music, the 17-year-old actor admitted that James Reid is his go-to guy to follow. James amazed Kobie through his attitude and the ability to carry himself. Moreover, Kobie felt that James is a cool guy, even wanting to meet him someday.
“I look up to James Reid. He is my idol. I really like his music, and watched a few of his movies as well. And I just liked his attitude and the way he carries himself.”
“He seems to be a really cool guy. I’ve always wanted to meet him actually and he’s someone that I really look up to.”
Kobie, during his PBB: Connect stay, was dubbed the “charming striker.”
The reason is that before entering showbiz, he wanted to become a footballer.
“It was my dream since I was a child. But I never tried to pursue this (acting) before ‘coz I have this other dream of becoming a footballer,” he admitted.
But now that he is here, finally pursuing acting, he is happy that he got the oportunity to chase his other dream.
Kobie is now part of ABS-CBN’s newest teen barkada, The Squad Plus. He, along with his fellow PBB: Connect alumni Andrea Abaya, Haira Palaguitto, and Kyron Aguilera are now squadmates.
