Jimuel Pacquiao, the son of Pinoy boxing champ Manny Pacquiao, revealed why he joined showbiz.
In a press conference for the upcoming ABS-CBN Entertainment series, Click Like Share, the young Pacquiao said, “It’s actually fun for me, naman po. The reason why I’m here is that I want to maximize opportunities. And sabi po nila, when you’re young, try everything, do everything you can, maximize, you’re still young, and you have time on your side. That’s why I am here, po.”
Since this is his first acting role, he is giving it all.
“This is my first acting job, so it was very new to me so, I really wanted to prepare and do my best for this episode. And everything naman po, everything I do I always do my best.”
He also revealed that he felt nervous with his first project with ABS-CBN.
“I was kind of nervous at first kasi syempre po it’s the first one so, you really want to do good. A few nights before, I kept on studying the script.”
Director Manny Palo described him as a receptive and intelligent actor.
“Ang maganda sa kanya, he’s very receptive, and he’s smart. Matalino sya, yung earlier discussions namin, when we presented the material to him and succeeding meetings. When we were discussing his character ang sharp nyang magtanong.”
He also praised Pacquiao for being down-to-earth.
“Dumating sya sa set ng ready and prepared. Tapos ang nakakatuwa sa kanya he’s very quiet, he’s very/ simple. He has no complex at all na anak sya ni Pacquiao. Hindi mo mararamdaman sa kanya that he is entitled.”
Pacquiao is part of the Gold Squad members Andrea Brillantes, Francine Diaz, Kyle Echarri, and Seth Fedelin in the upcoming anthology series, Click Like Share. Other Squad Plus members are Nio Tria, Renshi De Guzman, and Danica Ontengco also stars in the series.
