Multi-Grammy winner Jason Mraz performed his Look For The Good concert, virtually, on May 20 (May 21 in the Philippines).
Mraz, together with his 13-piece reggae band, performed the songs in his latest album, Look for the Good, and was presented by the premium digital platform, Moment House.
The album’s main theme is to see the good in things, to find commonality, and to celebrate life despite this ongoing global crisis, which the singer highlighted during his virtual performance.
Also, the concert, and all of the proceeds of his latest album, will be donated to charity. He also included the earnings he received for the record. Over $250,000 has been donated so far to various Black Lives Matter causes.
Look For The Good concert also highlighted Mraz’s career-long love of reggae as he performed the re-imagined and re-arranged his classic hits such as “I’m Yours”, and “Lucky”.
After the concert, fans who purchased an additional $15 aside from the $20 concert ticket were in for a treat as the singer once again performed in an “after-party” concert and interacted with his fans via live chat.
The virtual concert will be followed by a live tour that will start in July. Mraz will be accompanied once again by his 13-piece reggae band, and with performers from his Look For The Good album.
Mraz in a press conference on Friday is really excited to finally hit the road and do live tours.
“We’ve been patiently waiting for this day: when the curtain goes up in Austin, it will be a celebration of life, with a new appreciation for live music, and in-person connections we’ve all been missing,” he said.
The tour’s first stop will be on August 13 at Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica, with the tickets going on sale this coming Thursday, May 27.
