Kapamilya star Gerald Anderson gave a piece of advice to the character that he is portraying in his series “Init sa Magdamag” who met with his ex-girlfriend again.
In the latest episode of the Kapamilya series, Tupe (Gerald Anderson) is reunited with his ex-girlfriend Rita (Yam Concepcion) who is now married to Peterson (JM de Guzman).
Anderson gave his advice to Tupe saying that he should just avoid his ex-girlfriend who is now being loved by somebody else.
“Lumayo na siya. Nakikita naman niya na mahal ni Peterson si Rita talaga. It’s a very awkward situation,” he said.
He said the whole situation would just be awkward for the Tupe and Rita.
“Mahal mo siya, ‘di ka pa naka-get over sa kaniya, use that energy in a positive way na ginagawa naman ni Tupe nung first week ng show,” Anderson said.
“Kailangan physically lumayo ka because ‘di mo kakayanin ‘yun. Kahit nga ‘di mo na mahal, ang awkward,” he added.
Anderson then explained that although he could not relate to the situation of Tupe, he knows how awkward it is based on the comments of other people.
“Hindi ako makaka-relate dyan e. I think sa mga comments na nabasa ko sa eksena na namin na nagkita si Tupe, Rita at Peterson. ‘Awkward.’ ‘Oh my God!’” he said.
He said that if this situation were to happen in real life, the former lovers should just treat each other with respect.
“It’s a very awkward situation. Kung sa totoong buhay, you just go back to always remembering na naging masaya kayo and you maintain the respect kahit anuman mangyari,” he said.
Gerald is currently in a relationship with Julia Barretto. He is known for previously being in a relationship with Bea Alonzo. Their relationship was controversial as the actor is speculated of cheating on Bea with Julia.
As both Anderson and Alonzo work in the same industry, their paths are still bound to cross someday and the actor would also get to experience Tupe’s awkward situation with Rita.
