The now undisputed no.1 local tv series online, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, proved itself once more, as it broke the record it previously set on the video streaming site, Youtube, for having the most concurrent viewers.
ABS-CBN’s long-time running teleserye, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano has reached a new high, in its nearly a year of being aired online. Following ABS-CBN’s shutdown, the Coco Martin-starrer has since then started streaming on the video streaming platform, Youtube.
While it has already resumed its broadcast on free television, its online viewership has been, nonetheless, steadily going up

In January 2021, concurrent viewership of the show on Youtube (via Kapamilya Online Live), has already breached 80,000 viewers. Its January 25 episode, however, was specifically an online blockbuster, for attracting more than 102,000 viewers.
The said episode featured the death scene of Yassi Pressman’s character, Alyana. Figures have since then, improved, and by March, the series was already steady at around the 100,000 marks.

Interestingly, the improvement in the show’s concurrent online viewership has been just in sync with its tv ratings, which have been improving since its free debut, on both A2Z Channel 11 and TV5. Following the show’s premiere on TV5, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano has been able to enter the TOP 5 most-watched tv programs in the country. That is in spite of the limited tv reach, of either A2Z or TV5.
The show normally receives a boost in booth tv ratings and online viewership, every time a major confrontation between Cardo Dalisay and his enemies takes place. Episodes that feature such showdowns, usually showcase intense fighting and shooting scenes, which the show’s largely ‘barako’ viewers love.
Currently, things are more intense than usual in ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano‘, as Cardo’s pursuit of getting his revenge on those who were responsible for the death of his wife, gets to another level. The rest of his team (Task Force Aguila) has been trying to look for him everywhere but to no avail. Furthermore, they have the wrath of Dalisay’s hysterical mother-in-law, Aling Virgie, to deal with, back at their hideout.
It is perhaps, for these events, that the show is again gathering attention across all ABS-CBN platforms. On Youtube, the show has recently set another record for most concurrent viewers, last May 6. The episode featured Dalisay caught in a crossfire, between a certain ‘Colonel’ and a seemingly legion of henchmen. Concurrent viewers for the said episode pushed past the 107,000 marks, setting another record for the series.
It can also be noted, that this feat does not include concurrent viewers from other digital platforms, like Facebook, and the international video-streaming services, WeTV and iFlix, where advanced episodes of the show are made available for VIP users. It also excludes iWantTFC, where Kapamilya contents are available for free and for rent.
FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano airs on the primetime blocks of A2Z Channel 11, TV5, and Kapamilya Channel.
