He’s Into Her may be their first project together, but people started to compare Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano’s tandem or DonBelle to iconic Pinoy love teams.
During the media conference for their upcoming novel-turned-series adaptation, He’s Into Her–Mariano admitted how she initially felt about the comparison.
“Ako naman, syempre sobrang natuwa ko. Pero, di pa rin mawawala yung pressure.”
However, she also added feeling honored, and she thought of it as a “big thing,” especially with her break as a Kapamilya star.
“Being lined up with those big love teams, it’s such an honor, and kinikilig ako, kinikilig ako kasi sobrang big thing nun for me since ito nga yung first break. And ayun, I’m really excited for everyone to see lahat ng kilig, lahat ng mga kilig scenes dito sa He’s Into Her.”
Pangilinan expressed his gratitude for the pairing, the show, and the cast and crew of He’s Into Her.
“I think you know naman how grateful I am, you know. From the very beginning, I’m just so blessed to be able to showcase. You know, this show, and not just this show, but this entire cast, this entire crew.”
He also emphasized how hard they worked for the series, noting that he’s blessed and grateful at the moment.
“I’m very grateful that this entire cast and crew became a family.
“Sobrang proud ako sa cast na ‘to kasi we gave it our all. I really believe that. And, kung ano yung expectation namin dun sa shooting, I think we gave it times two, times three, times four, times ten. So, I really don’t have any words.
“I’m just very, very blessed and grateful at the moment.”
According to the series director Chad Vidanes, Mariano and Pangilinan’s pairing works because of their passion and dedication for their craft.
“Siguro yung pinaka-strength nila for me, is yung dedication nila and their interest, their passion. Kasi they, kumbaga, they always ask me in-depth of their characters.
“Parang they read between the lines. Hindi sya yung basta memorize lang ng script. So yun nga yung, passion and dedication nila sa art nila.”
Inspired by Maxinejiji’s Precious Pages-LIB novel, Mariano and Pangilinan will take on life and love in Star Cinema’s novel-turned-series adaptation He’s Into Her.
