From onscreen partners to real-life dating, actor Dennis Trillo proudly claimed that he’s prepared to take on the next chapter of his life with his long-time girlfriend-actress Jennylyn Mercado.
Trillo, 41, took to social media to greet his girlfriend a happy birthday.
He posted photos of him and Mercado (now 34) scuba-diving on May 16 via Instagram. One of the photos showed the couple formed a heart shape with their hands.
His post reads: “Sa lupa, sa ilalim ng dagat, kahit saan pa man, at kahit anong mangyare nandito ako para sa’yo, hindi kita pababayaan.
“Excited ako sa mga susunod na kabanata sa buhay natin. Mahal na mahal ka namin, mahal na mahal kita. Maligayang kaarawan sayo Mahal ko,” he assured his girlfriend.

Recently, Netizens are hearing wedding bells when Trillo posted a photo of his hand and Mercado’s hand wearing the same Rolex watch.
What caught the netizens’ attention back then was the ring on Mercado’s finger. The photo was shared sometime three years or so (April 10, 2018).

The longer their relationship gets, the stronger their bond becomes.
Both of them have kids from their previous partners. Mercado has a son named Alex Jazz with her ex-boyfriend Patrick Garcia; while Trillo has a son named Calix Andreas with his ex-girlfriend Carlene Aguilar, a former beauty queen.
To recall, in October 2020, the couple shared their takeaways during the pandemic.
“Siguro narealize ko sa relationship namin na naging mas swerte kami. Feeling ko kahit ano pang dumaan sa buhay namin, kaya na namin lagpasan,” Trillo shared how unbreakable their relationship due to the challenges they both went through, together.
“Wala nang titindi pa dito sa pinagdadaanan natin dito ngayon so talaga kapag nalagpasan mo to ibig sabihin lahat kaya mo na. Masaya pa rin kayong magkasama.”
On the other hand, Mercado shared that with the pandemic, everyone seemed to be on the same boat and that what matters the most is one’s family, loved ones, and friends.
For her, material things will not make anyone genuinely happy.
The couple dated in 2010 but it was not official. It made them go separate ways in 2011. But, in 2015, they worked together again on a project, hence rumors about them dating again sparked.
They have given it a shot and rekindled their love.
On January 5, the couple marked their seventh anniversary. Netizens are now waiting for them to tie the knot.
