Award-winning actress Cherie Gil poured her heart out about leaving the Kapuso drama series Legal Wives.
In a lengthy poetic facebook post, Cherie gave insights on why she had to let go of the program.
One of the reasons she wrote such, it has something to do with her kind of work not being reciprocated at the same level.
Feeling frustrated and disheartened over the level of dedication she gave to the show, but the people in the show failed to match it, according to her.
“The time, the energy, the heart, the tears, the sleepless nights and long hours, the devotion, the dedication, the respect and reverence invested to the work? It is disheartening and blatantly frustrating when it isn’t seen and met in the same light and given equal energy.”
Another reason is the lack of collaboration and “unified goal” which according to her is an important aspect in doing any project.
“I have always believed that any form of creativity blossoms from collaboration and a unified goal. The whole process of this work is SACRED to me. Without this process, there is no joy to be found, no minds to learn from, and no point!”
The feisty character actress only talked about mediocrity and shortcuts, which according to her limits one’s potential.
“As I have always been told, THERE ARE NO SHORTCUTS. In anything. Otherwise, we limit ourselves from our potential and will only lead to chronic mediocrity.”
While Cherie did not name anyone who has something to do with her decision to leave the program, it can be recalled that she had a history of animosity with her co-star Alice Dixson.
In 2018, Dixson was allegedly the subject of Cherie’s rant against some entitled actors. According to some reports, Cherie, Alice, and Rosemarie were co-stars in the Kapamilya teleserye Ngayon at Kailanman.
“What I don’t understand is that some actors feel entitled and have the right to throw their weight around regardless of any and all such considerations. BAKET??? HINDI KA PA PINAPANGANAK artista na sila at malaking kontribusyon sa industrya na pinagkikitaan mo rin ngayon! So BEHAVE ka lang diyan pwede?! Nagngingitngit ako! #Breathe” said Cherie.
