On Thursday, Eat Bulaga!‘s episode was dedicated to the birthday celebration of ‘Bossing’ Vic Sotto. During the show’s famous segment Bawal Judgmental–the guests were artists who worked with Sotto before.
Ryza Cenon worked with Sotto in movies Enteng Kabisote 10 and the Abangers (2016) and Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles (2018).
Her guesting in the said episode marked her comeback to TV after giving birth to her son Night.
Her last appearance via TV5 series Bella Bandida which she finished shooting before the pandemic.
In 2016, she had her biggest breakthrough on the GMA Network top-rating series Ika-Anim Na Utos where she played Georgia, Rome‘s (Gabby Concepcion) mistress. While the show is still airing, she left GMA Artist Center for VIVA Artists Agency.
Just a month after their hit show Ika-Anim Na Utos, Cenon shifted to the Kapamilya network where she had several projects including FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, The General’s Daughter, Ipaglaban Mo, and Maalaala Mo Kaya.
Ryza launched her career through GMA Network’s talent search StarStruck where she finished as the Ultimate Female Survivor. Since then, she became a Kapuso artist under GMA Artist Center.Â
There is no update yet on whether she will do a project under GMA Network or ABS-CBN. She may also continue her hiatus from showbiz and focus on being a mother.
