Looks like none of Cardo Dalisay’s villains can get on the viewers’ nerves more than Aling Virgie—the character portrayed by veteran actress, Sharmaine Centenera-Buencamino.
If you are a regular FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano viewer, chances are, that Centenera-Buencamino’s character, has made your brows raised, more than once.
She has been against Cardo Dalisay (Coco Martin), ever since. Aling Virgie regularly attracts attention from the viewers with her hysterical rants against Dalisay and the members of Task Force Aguila.
Aling Virgie is the mother of Cardo’s late wife, Alyana Dalisay (Yassi Pressman), who died after getting caught in the crossfire between the elite police group, Black Ops, and Dalisay’s team. She and her husband, Mang Teddy (Joel Torre), blame Cardo and his team, for their daughter’s demise.
Although some viewers get where Aling Virgie’s fervid anger towards Cardo comes from, many more are irritated by her constant bickering. The arguable fact that her time on screen is almost only spent for her endless tirades against Task Force Aguila, has seemingly made Netizens wish for the character to get booted out of the series.
One commenter on Youtube, for example, jokingly offered a reward for anyone who can dispatch the character off-the-series.
“Bakit parang mas banas pa ako kay Aling Virgie kesa kay Hipolito? Kung sino ang makakatumba kay Aling Virgie, may reward.”
(Why is that I’m more pissed at Aling Virgie, than I am at Hipolito? I’m offering a reward to anyone who can boot her out of the show.)
On other social media platforms, the sentiments are practically the same, with most followers of the show wishing for the character to retire—for the sake of the viewers’ well-being.
Julie, a twitter user, said “Nakakagigil ang bunganga ni Aling Virgie. Noon pa ako gigil dyan eh. Wala naman syang ginawang nakakatuwa since nagstart ang role niya. Puwede ba tanggalin sya? Mas nakakagigil pa siya kay Hipolito eh.”

Of course, as it is to many credible actors whose realistic portrayal of their characters on TV shows, viewers get affected. This collective sentiment against Buencamino’s character is a manifestation of how effective her take on Aling Virgie.
Unfortunately, it looks like her character won’t be retiring very soon, as she may continue to be a buzzing bee to Dalisay’s ear for an indefinite time. Viewers, similarly, will be forced to endure her hysterical ranting and endless opposition to Cardo and his team.
