Viewers have found new inspiration in the characters of Yam Concepcion and Gerald Anderson as they showed exceptional fighting spirit amid life’s battles in the premiere of “Init sa Magdamag.”
Filipinos found Rita’s resourcefulness and positive attitude in pursuing her dream in the face of struggles admirable. She showed her selflessness as she gave up the money she had saved for her tuition to send it to her brother Khyle (Mark Oblea), who is supporting her pregnant girlfriend.
Viewers were also struck by Tupe’s (Gerald Anderson) devotion to his studies. Despite being tagged as the unruly and rebellious son, he is serious about finishing his studies and becoming a doctor.
With the amount of positive comments posted online, #InitSaUnangGabi immediately trended on Twitter.
@HukbongJM tweeted, “Thats the spirit Rita! #InitNgUnangGabi”
“Saktong sakto ang timpla no?
Tamang pacing lang, enough to sustain our interest.”
Meanwhile, netizens also expressed excitement as they await JM de Guzman’s character Peterson to finally appear.
“#InitNgUnangGabi yam is da best..
