Is it possible for the David Licauco-Julie Anne San Jose love team can turn from onscreen partners to a real couple?
While the fans feel giddy over the love team and wait for Heartful Café’s premiere, Licauco and San Jose shared their opinions about each other.
San Jose said she felt easy working with the actor.
“I never had a hard time working with David because he’s easy to get along with, and he’s nice.”
She also admired Licauco’s passion for acting.
“Makikita mo talaga na alam nya yung ginagawa nya. He knows what he’s doing, and he’s passionate about acting.”
As for Licauco, he listed what finds special about San Jose.
The actor added that San Jose is talented, passionate, goal-getter, and beautiful.
“As we all know, sobrang talentado talaga ni Julie. But, also yung passion nya eh. Kita mo na gusto nya yung ginagawa nya. Whether it’s acting or singing, kita mo yung halos araw-araw marami syang ginagawa eh.
“Masipag talaga sya, walang reklamo, goal-getter, like very passionate, siguro yun. And, obviously, ang ganda ni Julie.”
Licauco recounted his interview from 2018 wherein he admitted that he wanted San Jose as his leading lady. He recalled the first time he met San Jose, praising the singer-actress for her beauty.
“I think this all started nung I had an interview back in 2018. And, then tinanong ako kung sino yung gusto ko maging parang ka-love team sa GMA. And then I answered, Julie Anne nga.
“I think dun sya nagsimula. And then, na-meet ko si Julie, tapos nakita ko yung post nya sa Instagram, sabi ko parang okay din si Julie, ganda. Yung mga ganon.”
Licauco is open to get to know San Jose deeply. However, his plans to get to know the singer-actress are currently on hold because of the pandemic.
“As of right now, pandemic pa rin kasi. Hindi ka rin makalabas, hindi ka rin makapag-date. Ganyan.
“Siguro, given a chance, I mean, why not. I’m very much willing to like know her naman, get to know her deeply.”
As for San Jose, she said she’s always been ready to fall in love, and she’s open to possibilities.
However, she noted that she is happy even being single, at this time, she wants to focus on her work and herself.
“I’ve always been ready. Hindi naman ako sarado eh. Open naman ako sa kahit anong possibility di ba? I am happy the way I am. I am happy as a single woman. And, I’m focused muna sa work ko and working on myself din.”
San Jose revealed what she is looking for in a guy.
“Gusto ko lang naman yung taong rerespetuhin ako, and yung family ko, God-fearing, yung iintindihin ako at higit sa lahat, hindi ako lolokohin. And, yung tatanggapin ako, kung ano ako.”
Julie Anne San Jose and David Licauco will top-bill in GMA Network’s newest romantic comedy teleserye, Heartful Cafe. They are joined by EA Guzman, Victor Anastacio, Ayra Mariano, Angel Guardian, and newcomers Zonia Mejia and Jamir Zabarte. Mark Sicat Dela Cruz is the director of the series and will begin airing on April 26, right after First Yaya, on GMA Network and GMA Heart of Asia.
