As It’s Showtime returned to live airing on Thursday, April 15, Vice Ganda admitted that he is afraid to report to the studio due to the rising COVID-19 cases in the region.
To recall, even before the reimplementation of Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in the NCR Plus bubble area, ABS-CBN voluntarily shut down its live shows, including It’s Showtime.
It is the Network’s way of cooperating with the Government amid this pandemic.
On their Thursday airing, Vice Ganda shared his conversation with Anne Curtis before the live show.
Anne asked the comedian if he is not afraid to report to the studio considering the worsening situation.
Vice then admitted that he is afraid but, he pushed himself to fight his fear for the sake of his It’s Showtime family.
“Natatakot!
“Sabi ko, how can I let our family down?
Vice felt that he needed to lead the group so his fellow hosts will also be optimistic about the show amid the pandemic.
It can also be noticed that Jhong Hilario is not present. Jhong temporarily left the show to prioritize the health of his family, especially their newly-born baby.
In the stage, the hosts clearly hold fast to the minimum health standards. We can see that they are more than a meter away from each other. To ensure physical distancing, they also limited the number of staff inside the set.
