In the media conference for the upcoming action fantasy series, Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. said that he missed working on projects like Agimat ng Agila, noting that it’s a series worth waiting.
Revilla.
He also said he dedicates Agimat ng Agila to his late father, who served as Senator of the Republic of the Philippines. The Revilla Sr. rose to fame via Nardong Putik: Kilabot ng Cavite in the 70s.
“Dahil syempre alam nyo naman, pag sinabi mong Agimat, Ramon Revilla yan and I would like to dedicate this Agimat ng Agila to my father Ramon Revilla.
Kaya I would like to dedicate this this project to him.”
Rico Gutierrez, the series director described the senator as a hands-on actor in this action-packed series.
Hands-on kasi si Senator eh. So, baka dapat may isa ka pang shot dito, baka mas magwo-work.
Gutierrez also added that Agimat ng Agila is one of the many projects that Sen. Bong discussed with him during his stay in Camp Crame.
Sen. Bong’s last teleserye with GMA Network was Indio in 2013. He also worked on a teleserye Pepeng Agimat.
Apart from stunts, the series is blessed with a star-studded cast–Sanya Lopez, Michele Dee, Allen Dizon, Elizabeth Oropesa, Edgar Allan Guzman, Miggs Cuaderno, Ian Ignacio, Roi Vinzon, and Sheryl Cruz. It will air on Labor Day, May 1.
