Comedienne Marietta Subong, popularly known as Pokwang was not shy in criticizing the Government. She is among the celebrities who use their platform to echo the public’s sentiments amid the pandemic.
Pokwang also cannot stand trolls and haters.
Recently, she and actress Alessandra De Rossi clapped back at the Government’s supporters as they targeted the actresses.
During an altercation with a DDS, she reasoned and insisted on her right to voice her opinion. It is her right to express her thoughts, especially on how the Government is handling the pandemic.
Recently, actress Anne Curtis was the subject of criticism after expressing her worry regarding the growing number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines.
She received backlash for expressing her concern. She got verbally attacked by a DDS propagandist Mark Lopez, who cursed at Curtis.
Pokwang came to the rescue and defended Curtis. She emphasized the point of Curtis’ is merely a query—some light amid the alarming crisis.
Now, the comedienne, amid the bashing, continued to voice out her opinions on political matters. Many supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte are targeting Pokwang and celebrities who are actively criticizing the current Administration. However, she still thanked other DDS for showing some class.
On her twitter, she expressed her respect to her DDS friends for accepting her opinions and having an open mind.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 #respect ❤️❤️
