GMA News journalist Raffy Tima is the living proof that Filipinos are helpful.
On Tuesday, April 6, the reporter was having his usual day; while doing his coverage of the inauguration of The Quezon Institute Offsite Modular Hospital, he had some troubles. There was something wrong with his team’s lighting.
As night approaches, there could be a greater chance that his team would not get an appropriate shot.
However, a good samaritan came to his aide.
The ABS-CBN News team was also there doing fieldwork. Despite them being in different networks, the Kapamilyas did not hesitate to lend their light to the GMA News team.
The journalist appreciated the gesture of the Kapamilyas.
In his facebook account, he posted his gratitude to the ones who helped him.
He wrote, “Salamat Kapamilya sa offer na ilaw.”
On his facebook post, many of his fellow journalists shared their thoughts on how great it is to work in the media industry.
Salamat Kapamilya sa offer na ilaw. 😊

“Haha sweet. Nakakamiss yung mga ganitong moment,” wrote GMA News stringer Jinky Tabor.
And this act of kindness did not escape the eyes of Netizens and celebrities. It also became a talk over twitter.
Kapamilya actor Enchong Dee loved the kindness of ABS-CBN’s news team to their fellow media people.
I love this👍🏼☺️ https://t.co/ekvYRvhwY3

Former GMA Network host Kiko Rustia, also shared how humble Raffy Tima and Mariz Umali are.
Rustia even shared that the two journalists are the kindest people he had ever known. They would always help their colleagues in any way they can.
And with a testimony from a Kapuso, it seemed that the Kapamilya news team is returning the favor to the Kapuso reporter.
If I may share everyone- si sir @raffytima and si Ms @marizumali..sila na siguro yung isa sa pinaka down to earth and ‘totoong tao’ journalist na nakilala at nakasama ko. Sobrang bait po ng mga yan, at lagi nila iniisip ang kapakanan ng ibang kasama sa industria.

With Rustia shared his experience with the reporter, a Netizen also shared his experience with the Kapuso journalist.
According to the Netizen, Tima was very kind and down-to-earth.

This act of camaraderie was very common to the press. A journalist shared how different networks tried to help him.
Everyone was willing to assist a fellow reporter.
May naalala akong memory from my journo days. One of our reporters e nasira footage ng isang coverage tapos willing yung 7, 5 at 2 na magpahiram ng SD card. Pero as a sequestered network, seyempre old style kami at de-tape ang camera namin kaya di kaya i copy ☠️ https://t.co/GS14Py9SAF

Now that the Kapuso journalist shared this great moment, a blogger Manuel Pangaruy appreciated Kapamilya network’s Christmas ID.
True to form ang Liwanag at Pag-asa vibe dito. https://t.co/Co0IspDRgh

A Netizen even lauded ABS-CBN News team by singing its Christmas ID way back in 2011.
🎶 Ang nagsindi nitong ilaw
Walang iba kundi ikaw
Salamat sa liwanag mo
Muling magkakakulay ang Pasko 🎶
Araw araw pasko. ☺️
Good job, ABS-CBN! 🙌🏼 https://t.co/BVjbf8g9qZ— smolglovs (@smolglovs) April 7, 2021
Although there are professional rivalries, which are always present in every industry, people set them aside to help a fellow worker in need.
