TV5’s primetime drama series Niña Niño is slowly growing on viewership as it continues to rise in the rating leaderboard.
Based on the latest data from AGB Nielsen NUTAM survey, the Maja Salvador-starrer series scored 3.0% on Thursday, April 15.
Niña Niño‘s rating on that day was ranked 17th among the top 20 most-watched weekday programs nationwide.
Its latest rating number is currently its highest since its premiere on April 5 where it scored 1.7%.
Given the limited reach of TV5, with only 16-owned and affiliated stations nationwide compared to its current biggest rival GMA Network’s more than 50 stations, Niña Niño’s rating and ranking are considered to be a victory for Salvador and its production.
Niña Niño‘s good rating can also be attributed to its pre-programming Sing Galing, which also scored about 2% (2.8%). Pre-programming is an important factor in rating as it linked the viewers from one program to the next.
Meanwhile, the rise of Niña Niño could also be useful to the Kapamilya teleserye’s being simulcast over at TV5.
As pre-programming to FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, the series can be a great help to boost FPJAP’s rating more now that it is currently consistent in the number five spot in the rating leaderboard.
Previously, when Maja was still with ABS-CBN, her teleserye has also proved to be a great pre-program to the Network’s primetime bida line-up.
Wildflower, which was scheduled on the pre-primetime slot helped boost TV Patrol and the succeeding teleseryes as it consistently wins in the rating game versus its Kapuso rival.
