Lie Reposposa gave an electrifying performance as the late Elizabeth Ramsey last Sunday (April 25) to become the newest weekly winner in “You Face Sounds Familiar Season 3.”
It was an emotional win for Lie in the hit Kapamilya musical variety competition, as she dedicated her Week 8 performance to her father who recently got sick.
“Sobrang saya ko po ngayon talaga kasi ‘yung performance ko po talaga dine-dedicate ko po sa Papa ko. Papa, para ito sa’yo para may pang pagamot ka na,” the Pinoy Big Belter said in the program, which airs on Kapamilya Channel and A2Z, and streams on iWantTFC and Kapamilya Online Live.
The first-time weekly winner took home a trophy and P50,000 after receiving the highest total number of points among all celebrity performers with 28. Her closest competitor was Klarisse De Guzman, whose performance as Lani Misalucha earned her a standing ovation from jurors Ogie Alcasid, Gary Valenciano, and Sharon Cuneta.
Aside from the contestants, Jed Madela also took the stage as Boy George a week after fellow celebrity mentor Nyoy Volante came out as Vilma Santos. Gary, meanwhile, shared his new inspirational song called “Make Us Whole Again.”
Next week’s transformations are extra special as two of the icons to be featured are part of the “YFSF” family. Klarisse will take the stage as Sharon while CJ Navato will perform as Gary. Viewers should also look forward to Vivoree Esclito’s take on Billie Eilish, Lie’s appearance as Celine Dion, and Christian Bables’ transformation into James Reid. Week 7 winners iDolls, on the other hand, will come out as music legends Dionne Warwick, Elton John, and Stevie Wonder.
