Kris Aquino announced a month after releasing a “tell-all” video that she would restrict the presence of her sons Josh and Bimby on her social media posts.
The former Queen of Talk has addressed the public once more, but this time with relaxed nerves, she informed her two sons of their ‘new’ privacy following the social media abuse and bullying that happened.
Via a facebook video on Friday, April 9, she said she wanted to do iy to give her boys, Josh and Bimby, enough privacy and revealed that she is partly to be blamed for the recent bashings her sons had received.
“I’m partly to blame kung nadamay man ang mga anak ko. I can never shield them fully because from the time they were born, I was already Kris but I can choose what I can show you,” she said.
Kris mentioned that while they would never be “ordinary citizens,” she would only update her sons’ milestones and celebrations from now on.
“They post birthdays. They post trips. So that’s the decision I made. Yun ang mga mapapakita ko sainyo. The regular things that regular people show people. And that’s my right. Kasi lahat ng mga magulang, ‘yun ang ginagawa.”
To respect her sons’ privacy, Aquino also declared that her sons would no longer be involved in her work.
“Pero the other things, ‘yung trabaho ko – labas na. Out si Kuya Josh, out si Bimby.
“It’s my responsibility. They will have enough privacy. You won’t get to see them as often as you used to,” she said.
Kris Aquino has been the target of malicious and contentious issues in recent weeks. Kris recently defended her two sons, Josh and Bimby, against online bullying and fake news.
Josh, her eldest son, was alleged to have impregnated a woman in Tarlac, where he is currently residing, despite having been diagnosed with autism as an infant. While Bimby, Aquino’s youngest son, was bullied online after some Netizens mocked him for allegedly being gay.
The 50-year-old actress and talk show host even said she is “willing to go to war” to defend her two sons.
“Hindi nila fault that they cannot count on their fathers. Hindi nila choice na ang nanay nila, ang apelyido Aquino. Hindi nila kasalanan that the lies about my family will continue until history gets completely re-written.”
As of now, although Aquino said she would not hide her sons from the public, she shared a recent conversation of her with youngest son Bimby, who was the topic of online rumors.
“I told him that it’s your choice what you wanna do with your life. I will support you, and I will love you. Hindi natin kasalanan ‘yung magiging opinion nila about you. What’s important is you know who you are and you’re not gonna be like them. I’m proud of that. I brought up a brave son.”
