Kapamilya journalist Karen Davila disagreed with Presidential Spokesperson’s excuse about President Duterte’s lewd act towards their household help.
In a tweet reaction to Inquirer’s news item about the issue, Karen said such actions should never be tolerated and accepted as normal behavior.
While Roque defended it as a playful act of the President, Davila said it is not funny and it is never part of any culture in the country.

Duterte has drawn flak recently for his sexual misbehavior towards their household help.
During his birthday celebration in Davao City, Duterte was caught on video doing sexual advances towards their household help while the latter was about to hand the President his birthday cake.
Duterte’s mouthpiece Harry Roque, meanwhile immediately defended the President saying it was done without malice since the household helper was with the President’s family for a long time already.
‘Yung sinasabing panghihipo, matagal na niyang kasambahay yun eh. Alam mo naman, talagang palabiro ang ating Presidente pero walang malisya yun,” he said.

Previously Duterte has also attracted controversy when he said that the Mayor should get the first pass in raping the Australian missionary who was victimized during a hostage crisis in Davao jail in the 80’s.
Duterte was also criticized when he kissed on the lips an OFW in South Korea. And his classic story of molesting their household help during his teenage years.
