Julie Anne San Jose and David Licauco’s rom-com Kapuso series Heartful Cafe will soon premiere on GMA Network starting April 26.
Previously, it was supposed to premiere on GTV, but it earned a primetime slot on the Kapuso network as it will air after First Yaya.
Licauco promoted his upcoming series on twitter as he retweeted a post about Heartful Cafe streaming on GMA Telebabad. “April 26 on GMA. After First Yaya!” tweeted the male star.

Heartful Cafe follows the story of cafe owner Heart Fulgencio (San Jose) who plays cupid with her customers but guards herself when it comes to love. She then met a handsome and goal-driven man named Ace Nobleza (Licauco) who comes to her rescue as her business declines and becomes her co-investor for the cafe.
The said GMA Telebabad slot was supposed to be for the episodes of the drama anthology I Can See You’ (ICSY), but it seems that the slot was given to Heartful Cafe, a full-blown series.
This will be the first primetime of Heartful Cafe cast Licauco and San Jose.
According to an article by PEP, program manager Dennis Bentulan mentioned that the reason why Heartful Café was given a slot on GMA primetime was that the Network executives seemed to be impressed with the pilot episode of the series.
“We sent a copy of the pilot episode to our bosses and after watching it, they decided to air Heartful Café on GMA instead of GTV,” said Bentulan.
“So, they were probably impressed with how it was produced and they felt that it would be best to put it on GMA.”
The series will also feature Edgar Allan Guzman, Ayra Mariano, Zonia Mejia, Jamir Zabarte, and Victor Anastacio. The said series will simulcast on Heart of Asia, but not on GTV.
