It was an emotional birthday celebration for the singer-actress Karylle, as she celebrated her 40th birthday on April 17 on It’s Showtime. Her co-host, Vice Ganda gave Karylle a heart-warming message and pleaded with her not to leave them though many had already left the long-running noontime show.
Vice Ganda said, “Karylle is just really beautiful inside and out.
He then shared how he loves Karylle’s weirdness.
“I love you just the same. Weird ka in a beautiful way. Weird ka in a not so beautiful way. I love you just the same.
He then happily wished Karylle the best for her despite what situation she may be going through these past few days.
“I’m sure may bagay kang hindi shine-share samin.
Gusto kong maging masaya ka kasi again you are very beautiful.
Vice Ganda ended his message by asking Karylle to neither have thoughts of leaving them.
He said, “Sana makasama ka pa namin. Huwag mo kaming iiwan, K ha?”
Karylle’s expressions got touched by Vice Ganda’s message. It caused her to be teary-eyed. She even said that she was having a hard time going out and work due to the COVID-19.
‘It’s Showtime’had been airing on-and-off due to some serious reasons. It temporarily got halted its airing on May 5, 2020, as well as the other ABS-CBN programs due to the Network’s expiration of a 25-year-franchise as National Telecommunications Communication’s (NTC) issuance of a cease-and-desist order on Network’s free to air stations.
The noontime show resumed its broadcast on June 13 of the same year for only a limited time of 150-minute timeslot on Kapamilya Channel. It went live again in October 2020 through free TV A2Z channel only following the block timing deal by the Zoe Broadcasting Network.
It was only in January 2021 that the noontime show was among the first programs to be aired on TV5. Recently, due to the surge of COVID-19 cases, its live airing was again suspended on March 20.
Then again, Karylle thanked the ‘madlang pipol’ for being the source of her strength to continue and spread the fun to the public.
“Iniisip ko ano ba yung lakas ko, naiisip ko kayo. Lumalakas loob ko because of all of you so thank you. Yun talaga yun,” she said.
Karylle once left It’s Showtime. To recall, on August 09, 2016, she announced on the show that she will temporarily leave the noontime program due to her participation in a television series in Singapore titled Private Investigator. She had portrayed the role of a pole dancer in the said series.
Many seemed to allude Vice Ganda’s plea to Karylle if she is leaving the noontime show this year. However, Karylle had not yet given her statement on this matter.
