ABS-CBN’s latest inspirational teleserye Huwag Kang Mangamba as well as GMA network’s ICSY: On My Way To You received varying ratings from AGB Nielsen NUTAM survey which determined the shows’ upward or downward trend in its first-week premiere.
For its pilot episode on March 22, Huwag Kang Mangamba garnered a rating of 6% which is considerably higher compared to the previous record by Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin with 2-4%. For the ratings of Huwag Kang Mangamba rival Kapuso series, ICSY scored 16.1% on its pilot episode.
For its 3rd episode which premiered on Wednesday, March 24, Huwag Kang Mangamba rated 8.2% which is higher than its pilot episode. Meanwhile, ICSY went down a 1% rating with 15.1%.
On March 25, Huwag Kang Mangamba saw an increase with its rating once again scoring 8.3%. While ICSY went down a few points again having a rating of 14.4%.
For its Friday episode on March 26, Huwag Kang Mangamba first saw its rating downfall for the week as it went down to 7.6%. ICSY gained a .1% increase compared to its rating in the previous day with 14.5%.
It should be noted that the large difference in the Kapamilya and Kapuso show ratings is because of the networks’ availability of mediums where the series are airing.
Kapuso network’s ICSY premiers on over 52 TV stations as well in about 6 stations for digital. On the other hand, Kapamilya’s Huwag Kang Mangamba airs on Kapamilya Channel, TV5, and A2Z only accounts for a total of 18 combined stations (16 for TV5’s owned and affiliates and 2 for A2Z).
Based on Youtube views on the ABS-CBN Entertainment channel, Huwag Kang Mangamba has already reached about 3.6 million views for its pilot episode. This doesn’t include views from iWantTFC, WeTV, and iFlix which also carries Huwag Kang Mangamba’s streaming.
For GMA Network’s ICSY: On My Way To You, the YouTube views for its pilot episode reached 120k views.
Huwag Kang Mangamba stars Andrea Brillantes, Francine Diaz, Kyle Echarri, and Seth Fedelin. The series follows the story of Mira (Andrea) who searches for her mother in the town of Hermoso, while Joy (Francine) ran away from her family after another heated argument. The pilot episode, which also highlighted real-life problems, ended with the tragic car accident of the two teenagers.
ICSY: On My Way To You stars Ruru Madrid, Shaira Diaz, Malou de Guzman, Arra San Agustin, Gil Cuerva, Ashley Rivera, Richard Yap. The drama anthology’s maiden episode for its second season follows a viral runaway bride, Raki (Shaira Diaz) who seeks refuge at a mountain resort. The place serves as her hideaway to escape from her bashers online after she jilted her groom-to-be, Albert (Gil Cuerva), on their supposed wedding.
