This April 19, keep an eye out for the intense and thrilling story of a woman who finds herself in an unfortunate encounter with a vicious intruder in the third episode of GMA Network’s groundbreaking drama series ‘I Can See You: The Lookout’
The third offering features Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza as Emma Castro, an all-around helper and a raketera girl who gets entangled in a mess out of desperation to provide for her unwell sister, highly-talented Kapuso actor Paul Salas as Marius Penuliar, a mysterious man in crutches who crosses paths with Emma, and the versatile actor Mr. Christopher de Leon playing an equally vital role as Dr. Robert Penuliar, a prominent doctor and the patriarch of the Penuliar family who is a stickler for security.
Recognized for her myriad roles and versatility in acting, Barbie shares how she prepared herself for the role of Emma, “I always start with logic. I don’t question the character. I agree with whatever she does, but I put my personality to it as to how I would react to certain situations. Basically, in all the characters I portray, it’s a combination of the character and my truth. I also got a different feel of the character once I got all made up. The red highlights, red lipstick, and the outfits. These factors made me feel bolder and tougher and so that’s what I’ve come up with as Emma.”
Meanwhile, Paul promises Kapuso viewers that their episode offers more than just one genre, “I think what makes this episode unique is ‘yung kikiligin ka pero mas makakaramdam ka ng thrill. May thriller vibes kasi ang episode na ‘to and madaming twists. Mayroon din about family dahil makikita mo na ipaglalaban nila ang lahat para sa loved ones nila. ‘Yung character din ni Barbie, malapit siya sa puso ng mga tao. The way na tumutulong siya sa family niya ng walang kapalit.”
The Lookout also highlights the outstanding portrayal of dramatic actor Adrian Alandy as Jason “Lakay” Bautista, a trigger-happy and deranged ex-military.
Actor and comedian Benjie Paras plays a special role as Kapitan, Emma’s neighbor and the captain of their community.
Completing the powerhouse cast of this episode are Arthur Solinap as Randy Penuliar, Robert’s younger brother who has a close relationship with his family but also suffers from alcohol abuse; Marina Benipayo as Tessa Penuliar, Robert’s high-strung wife who often looks down on the poor living in the slums near their village; Elijah Alejo as Christine Penuliar, Marius’ quirky teen sister; Luis Hontiveros as Dalo, Emma’s childhood friend and neighbor who works as a magician but is also involved in petty crimes in the nearby village; Ella Cristofani as Joanne Castro, Emma’s unwell sister who suffers from heart disease; Jana Trias as Yaya Minda, housemaid of the Penuliar family.
The story revolves around Emma (Barbie), an all-around helper and a raketera girl who is in dire need of a big sum of money for her sister’s operation. Out of despair, she agrees to act as a lookout for her friend Dalo (Luis) who plans on robbing the house of the well-off Penuliar family. Upon breaking into the home, Emma finds herself at the mercy of another intruder. Worried for Marius (Paul), the mysterious man in crutches, and his teenage sister who live in the house, Emma must make use of her tactical skills to take on the burglar and rescue the family who’s in danger.
Will Emma’s heroic act to save the Penuliar family from a vicious intruder make up for her crime? How will the events of that fateful night bring Emma and Marius closer?
