While FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano is showing fairly good rating numbers despite its limited reach, it still lags from its Kapuso rival.
From the most recent data gathered from AGB Nielsen NUTAM survey, the Kapamilya long-running action-drama teleserye still has a significant amount of margin against First Yaya.
For April 5 to 9, FPJAP registered ratings which are more or less half of what its rival program scored.
On Monday, April 5, FPJAP scored a combined rating of 9.3%, 11.3% below First Yaya‘s 20.6%.
In the following day, FPJAP managed to get an increase at 9.8%, but First Yaya‘s rating also went up to 21.5%, putting its lead at 11.7%.
Meanwhile, from Wednesday to Friday, FPJAP went on a downward trend, a complete opposite to First Yaya‘s climb.
On Wednesday, the Coco Martin-starrer teleserye scored 9.5% followed by 8.8% on Thursday and 8.2% on Friday, respectively.
FPJAP and all of ABS-CBN show’s disadvantage was its limited reach compared to when they still broadcast on free TV.
Currently, Kapamilya shows are being simulcast on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z Channel 11, and TV5. However, these channel’s combined reach only accounted for 18 analog and digital TV stations nationwide (16 for TV5, 2 for A2Z) a big gap to GMA Network’s 58 analog and digital TV stations.
While FPJAP has some catching up to do about TV rating, it beats First Yaya in online views far ahead.
In its April 9 episode alone, FPJAP registered more than 3.1 million views compared to First Yaya‘s 2.4 million views.
FPJAP also airs over iWantTFC and WeTV iFlix which also have wide viewership.
Meanwhile, for that week, FPJAP featured Cardo Dalisay’s plan to use Lia Mante in his quest to avenge his wife Alyanna’s death.
Cardo was able to escape from the eye of the Black Ops and get to a secluded house where he planned to hide before executing his next plans.
