Despite the continuous soaring of recorded COVID-19 cases, the Government placed the NCR plus bubble area into a modified, enhanced community quarantine (MECQ), as announced by Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque on Monday, April 11.
As the said areas return to MECQ–the Government did not release guidelines for the said transition right away. They released the complete details on April 12, the same day when the implementation began instead.
Upon the announcement of MECQ, celebrities asked about the restrictions brought by the said quarantine measure. They expressed confusion about it due to its being incomplete.
Gabbi Garcia and Janine Gutierrez needed to review the guidelines enclosed by the MECQ as they already forgot about them.

Obviously, after a year into the pandemic, the Government still did not get the right formula in mitigating the health situation. No mass testing, limited vaccines, slow contact tracing, in short–the response is poor.
Comedian Awra Briguela quipped about the meaning of MECQ and questioned the Government’s plan after it.
ECQ TO MECQ “M” STANDS FOR “MEDYO” SO MEDYO-ECQ.

question after this MECQ whats the plan?

NCR, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal with Santiago City, Isabela, and Abra are placed in MECQ from April 12 to April 30.
The first MECQ implementation was introduced by the Inter-agency Task Force (IATF) last May 2020. Almost a year after, it seems like we are repeating history all over again.
