As Kapuso actor Edgar Allan Guzman celebrated another career achievement by being awarded Best Supporting Actor at the 4th Entertainment Editors’ Choice Awards (EDDYS), LionHearTV had the chance to talk to him about the stars he hopes to work with in the future.
In the interview on LionHearTV’s Rawr Nation, Edgar Allan, also known as EA, shared that one of his dream roles is to play a character struggling with a mental condition,
“Dream role ko is gaya ng sinabi ko gusto ko ‘yung may sakit may epilepsy ganung may problema sa pag iisip, example yung Budoy ni Gerald. Feeling ko magagwa ko naman siya ng maayos.”
The Kapuso actor even has a conceptualized plot on what he wants the story to be, the actor hopes for a family-centered theme, and most of the actors that he wants to work with are ABS CBN prized talents,
“Gusto kong makatrabaho si, kung bibigyan ng pagkakataon naiisip ko kase ngayon is family eh, ako yung may sakit ako yung may ganun.
“yung kapatid ko, Coco Martin ‘yung tatay ko si Nonie Buencamino ‘yung nanay namin si Sylvia Sanchez meron akong asawa don partner ko si Julia Montes. ‘Yun ‘yung mga naiisp ko na ma-play sa mga roles na naiisip ko.”
There is no doubt that EA Guzman would want to work with Julia Montes, EA has worked with Julia in ABS CBN’s Doble Kara last 2017. The actor even praised Julia Montes professionalism during the series,
“Unang-una kay Julia, makikita mo hahayaan ka lang niya sa gusto mong gawin. And pagdating sa mga eksena, ikaw bahala. Susuportahan ka din niya, kumbaga kung moment mo ‘yan, magmo-moment din siya para madala ka,” said Edgar Allan.
As of now, the actor is thankful to GMA Network for the unwavering supports that he receives amid the COVID-19 pandemic,
“Minamahal ko yung network kumbaga sa lahat ng aspeto nakasuporta ako and every project 101% ng trabaho ko binibigay ko and every project na ginagawa ko sa GMA ang lagi kong sinasabi ‘di kayo mag sisisi dahil alam ko yung giangawa ko sa trabaho ko ibibigay ko yung best ko para lang matuwa at maging masaya mga Kapuso viewers natin.”
Edgar Allan Guzman gained prominence after being named Mr. Pogi 2006 of Eat Bulaga!, which aired on the GMA Network, and then stood in the network from 2006 to 2008.
He then moved to ABS-CBN in 2014. He has also worked in independent films, earning him the title “Prince of Philippine Independent Films,” previously held by Coco Martin. In 2017, he returned to the GMA Network.
