On Tuesday, April 27, Joshua Garcia posted several pictures on his social media [Instagram] account to celebrate his 7th anniversary in the Philippine show business. However, it is noticeable that there was no picture of him and Julia Barretto included in the post.
In the same post, Garcia said he missed acting and he hoped that everything will go back to the way it used to be.
“Celebrating my 7th year in showbiz… I miss acting so much, and I hope everything goes back to the way it used to be. Stay safe everyone, and I love you all.”

Garcia and Barretto were former reel-and-real-life partners. While there was no public admission of when their relationship started in 2017, it was confirmed when they posted publicly their second anniversary in April 2019.
The two have also worked in several movies which included Vince & Kath & James in 2016, Love You To The Stars And Back in 2017, Unexpectedly Yours also in 2017, I Love You, Hater in 2018, and Block Z in 2020.
They were also paired in the Kapamilya teleserye Ngayon at Kailanman that aired from 2018 to 2019.
Meanwhile, included in Joshua’s photos in the Instagram post: one of his mentors Direk Olivia Lamasan, a photo with the Superstar Nora Aunor during the MMFF 2016 Parade of the Stars, and a picture during the shooting of the film Love You To The Stars And Back where he played a leukemia patient.
Also, part of his memorable seven years in showbiz–a picture with his former loveteam Janella Salvador, a photo with his co-star McCoy de Leon in ABS-CBN afternoon teleserye The Good Son, a picture from one of his mall shows, and his birthday party at Jollibee that he [definitely] missed because of the restrictions during the pandemic.
Included in his memorable moments–a group photo with his colleagues at Star Magic, a picture of his widely praised guesting in MMK where he played a soldier who died during the Zamboanga siege, and his solo picture in the much-talked-about music video Paubaya.
