Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla reproached Manila Mayor Isko Moreno after the latter commented that the provincial government failed to help Manileños who relocated to the town of Naic.
According to an article on ABS-CBN, Moreno previously mentioned that about 1,000 families from Manila, who relocated to the government’s housing program in Cavite, did not receive cash assistance for the pandemic.
Remulla wrote a lengthy post on facebook, addressed to Mayor Isko as he mentioned that the Manila Mayor is stepping on other people just to look good in public.

There are speculations that Mayor Isko is aiming to run as the President of the Philippines. Given his good conduct as a public servant as well as his current standing, he might get the people’s votes.
Even Korina Sanchez previously acknowledged Isko for his service in the field of politics.
Remulla then said that he was only defending Naic Mayor Jun Dualan, whom Mayor Isko called out for the lack of aid to former Manileños during a media interview.
He noted that Manila currently has an annual budget of P20B, while Naic only has P380 million with the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) allocation being P1,523,278,000 and P115,822,000, respectively.
He mentioned Mayor Isko should not cross with the Caviteños saying, “Wag kaming mga Caviteño ang pag-initan mo.
“Hindi ka namin uurungan.”
Meanwhile, just hours after his facebook post, Governor Remulla shared that he and Mayor Isko already patched things up via phone call.
“Guys tigil na. Wala kaming away ni Yorme. Peace na kami so let’s move on,” he wrote on twitter.

In an SMS to ABS-CBN, Remulla said that he and Mayor Isko only figured in a misunderstanding. Both parties have already talked about it.
“We had an understanding that in these stressful times we often say things we shouldn’t have,” he explained.
