Appalled and shocked, these were Bea Alonzo’s manager and even the GMA Network’s reaction on the news about the offer for Bea to sign a contract with them and become a Kapuso.
After the announcement that Bea Alonzo will star in the ‘A Moment to Remember’ film with Alden Richards, which excites everyone, GMA Network allegedly prepared a contract for former Kapamilya actress Bea Alonzo.
According to reports, speculations are circulating that the 33-year-old actress is a freelancer. Alonzo, who worked for ABS-Star CBN’s Magic for two decades, announced that she left the talent management agency in November 2020.
But in PhilStar’s article, Bea Alonzo’s manager denied the said rumor. So far, Bea is only committed to the movie that she and Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards will produce, A Moment To Remember, under Viva Films, GMA Pictures, and APT Entertainment.
Moreover, Bea’s manager said that they are not committing any other projects because the actress has three movies to make this year.
The same goes with GMA Network, an executive confirmed that there is no official date on the said matter.
Bea Alonzo and Kapuso actor Alden Richards will star on the Philippine Adaptation of A Moment to Remember, however, Alonzo disclosed that before signing the contract, she went to ABS-CBN and asked one of its executives for permission to work on the project with GMA Network.
“Gusto kong hingin ‘yung blessing niya, and naging ano naman sila, mabait,
“Even before we said yes to doing a project with Alden, nagkaroon kami ng courtesy to inform them first before we even agreed,” she explained.
Alonzo and Richards were the ideal pair for the project, according to Annette Gozon-Valdez, president of GMA Films, who wanted to give the film an international feel.
“We want to give this movie an international flavor talaga,” Valdez clarified. “Plus, we have both Alden and Bea in it, so we think this film is great talaga.”
Alonzo will play the part of the female lead, which was previously starred by Son Ye Jin, who is best known for the hit Korean drama “Crash Landing On You,” which premiered in 2020. While, Richards will play the lead actor, Korean actor Jung Woo-sung.
