Actress Barbie Forteza says she’s ready to take on mature non-sexy roles and passes the baton of ‘teenybopper’ image to Elijah Alejo.
In the press conference for the crime-thriller, I Can See You: The Lookout, Forteza said she wants to take on a challenge. She also adds that she’s ready to take on mature non-sexy roles and done with her teenybopper image.
“I would always love a challenge, pero when I say na I am willing to accept more mature roles, I am not saying like sexy, hindi naman ‘yung in a sense na sexy level. Kasi pag sinabing mature ‘yun agad ang iniisip nila eh. It’s more of how I handle the character, how I play the character. Enough of the teenybopper, siguro naman medyo kumota na ako doon.”
Forteza then added that she’s passing the baton to Elijah Alejo as a teen star and hopes to transition into mature roles gradually.
“Kasi narealize ko tumatanda na rin naman ako. So ibibigay ko na kay Elijah ‘yung mga teenybopper. Graduate na ‘ko sa tween hearts. Pero dahan-dahan lang, gradual lang para smooth naman ‘yung pag transition.”
Forteza worked on teleseryes such as Meant To Be, That’s My Amboy, and Anak ni Waray VS Anak ni Biday.
