Starstruck alum Ayra Mariano reacted to Migo Adecer’s retirement from showbiz, to go back to his family in Australia.
In the media conference event for kilig-filled GMA Teleserye, Heartful Café, Mariano confirmed that Adecer hinted about his plans of leaving showbiz.
“At yun napagkwentuhan namin yung isang bagay na sine-secret pa nga nya nung una. Tapos sabi nya sa akin, ‘Abangan mo na lang na mayroong isang news ganyan na about me after ilang months. Ganyan, abangan mo yun,'” Mariano said.
Then, when the news broke that Adecer was planning to go back to Australia, Mariano said, she messaged him.
“Tapos nung makita ko nga na ‘ah aalis na pala sya ng showbiz,’ tapos minessage ko sya sabi ko ‘ito pala yung sinasabi mo sa akin,'” Mariano shared.
Mariano also said that she’s happy for Adecer with his decision to take a break and focus on his family.
“Well, masaya naman ako for him. Kasi syempre desisyon na rin yun. Tsaka baka alam rin nya na mas kailangan din nya ng time sa family nya or to take a break kung ano man yung kailangan nyang gawin sa life nya. To enjoy his life na hindi nagsho-showbiz,” said Mariano.
She wished Adecer good luck with what lies ahead.
“Ako masaya ako sa kung anong desisyon ng tao. And, yun goodluck sa kung ano man, what lies ahead for him,” said Mariano.
Mariano and Adecer were part of the StarStruck VI Ultimate Final Four finalists in 2015, alongside Klea Pineda and Elyson de Dios.
Earlier, Adecer bid adieu to the showbiz industry and the Philippines via an Instagram post.
On the other hand, Mariano joins GMA Network’s newest romantic comedy teleserye, Heartful Cafe. She is with lead stars Julie Anne San Jose and David Licauco, and supporting cast with EA Guzman, Victor Anastacio, Angel Guardian, and newcomers Zonia Mejia and Jamir Zabarte.
Mark Sicat Dela Cruz is the director of the series and airing begins on April 26, right after First Yaya, on GMA Network and GMA Heart of Asia.
