Kapamilya star Angel Locsin fact-checked a Netizen who noted that Duterte haters are the first in line to get vaccinated after she posted photos of her parents getting the COVID-19 jabs.
While some Netizens commended the actress for inspiring others not to get scared of the vaccines, one Netizen slammed and said that Duterte haters are still prioritized to get the vaccination.
“Wow! ‘Yung Duterte haters pa talaga nangunguna sa vaccine! Ang gagaling! Ang pa-plastic!” the Netizen wrote.
Locsin took notice of the said comment as she simply replied saying, “Last time I checked, hindi pag-aari ng DDS (Diehard Duterte Supporters) ang vaccines at para sa lahat ito. Nasa priority rin ang senior citizens.”
Senior citizens and people with comorbidities were the priority in the country’s first phase of the COVID-19 vaccination program.
She explained that all Filipinos have the right to get vaccinated and that her parents are already senior citizens which made them applicable for getting the vaccination.
Even though her parent already got the first dose of the vaccination, Locsin noted that she still hasn’t received her jab of the vaccination as compliance with the COVID-19 priority list.
In an Instagram post on Friday, April 16, the 35-year-old actress uploaded photos of her father Angelo Colmenares and her mother Emma Colmenares getting their first dose of Sinovac vaccine in Taguig.
She stressed that even though her parents are anti-vaxxers or people who are opposed to vaccination, they finally agreed to get the vaccine jab in Taguig City.
“The “anti-vaxxer” finally cooperates 😁🙏🏻
“The mother and the father received their first dose of Covid vaccine today!” Angel wrote.
Angel Locsin is a philanthropist and is known for her charity works. Recently, Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto recognized the actress as she donated P1M to Pasig without the knowledge of the media or “without fanfare.”
