Kapuso stars loyalty is in a test after GMA Network’s 2021 plans exclude some artists?

Amid GMA Network’s plans for 2021 and the implementation of lockdowns due to the spike of COVID-19 cases, Kapuso stars’ loyalty is tested.

Earlier, ABS-CBN went through the same struggle when many Kapamilya stars opted out and went on their separate ways after the network’s shutdown. Several stars moved to other networks.

To date, several Kapuso stars are in the same dilemma. After GMA Network laid out its plans for almost 100 shows for 2021–many Kapuso talents do not get shows lined up for 2021.

Talents like Marian Rivera, Kylie Padilla, Jak Roberto, Lovi Poe, Derek Ramsay, Bea Binene, Sunshine Dizon, Lauren Young, and many more found themselves without Kapuso shows for 2021.

Other Kapuso stars have already made their career moves by transferring to other networks. The likes of Janine Gutierrez, who transferred to ABS-CBN, Kris Bernal signed with Cornerstone Entertainment Inc, but still has appearances with GMA Network and TV5.

There are also reports that GMA Network did not renew Poe, Dizon, and Binene’s contracts. What’s more worrying is that there are rumors that there are more Kapuso talents who also have the same fate.

With all that’s said and done, it’s now a test for Kapuso stars if who will choose to remain in the Network.
