Despite the initiative that GMA Network has and its objective to continue to provide quality entertainment to the Filipino people by having a top-notch and world-class lineup of new programs for the coming months–it is noticeable that some of Kapuso big names are missing in any shows.
What exactly happened?
These are the Kapuso big stars who are nowhere to be identified as having any upcoming shows on GMA Network this 2021.
Marian Rivera.
Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera opted out of the role in GMA’s teleserye, My First Yaya. With Marian backing out, Sanya Lopez took over. However, Rivera’s decision had to do with the pandemic and her children. She decided not to work until Covid-19 is totally over.

After his stint on GMA Network’s Better Woman, the Kapuso actor may have step away from the spotlight a bit.
Ramsay has an upcoming show Sanggang Dikit with ex-girlfriend Andrea Torres as his leading lady. GMA Network’s initial plan to have the two return as loveteam is now at sixes and sevens after their breakup. Derek was initially part of To Have and To Hold, but only Max Collins and Carla Abellana are confirmed to star so far.
Bea Binene.
After her appearance in the 2019 series, Beautiful Justice— she is no longer visible in any Kapuso shows. Now that GMA Network released its upcoming line-up for 2021, sad to say, the young star is not part of any upcoming shows.
Sunshine Dizon.
Sunshine led a titular role in the Kapuso series, Magkaagaw, with seasoned actress Sheryl Cruz. However, when it ended on March 31, 2021, fans expected that she would have a new show in the upcoming shows. However, she didn’t get any assignments in any upcoming shows. Meanwhile, Cruz will have a special participation in Bong Revilla’s forthcoming TV series, Agimat ng Agila.
Lauren Young.
She’s a former ABS-CBN talent who moved to GMA Network in 2013. Although she had numerous shows as a Kapuso, her latest TV series [with the Network] was Kara Mia, which aired in 2019.
