In the media conference for his upcoming game show, 1000 Heartbeats-Pintig Pinoy, athlete-actor-singer-host-filmmaker Xian Lim reacted to taking on the mantle of a new quiz show for TV5.
Lim said that he felt happy and honored about taking on the mantle.
“I feel very happy and I feel very honored na naibigay sa akin itong proyektong ito.”
He also added the preparations he made when he received the offer for the project, such as watching the UK version of the game show.
“I think it was months ago, nung nalaman ko na paghahandaan kami for 1000 heartbeats. And, naaalala ko pa yung reaction ko nun na parang pinanood ko talaga lahat ng episodes available na pwede kong panoorin. I was there sa screening process nila,” shared Xian.
Xian also expressed his gratitude to TV5 and Viva for offering him the game show.
“And I’m really just expressing my gratitude and happiness na napunta sa akin tong project na to.”
The last game show with a quiz format on TV5 was Vic Sotto‘s Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. It aired its pilot episode on TV5 in 2009 and ran for more than 12 seasons.
Now, Xian hosts the heart-pumping new game show 1000 Heartbeats-Pintig Pinoy. Originating in the UK, this game show produced by Viva puts contestants through a heart monitor with an allotted 1000 heartbeats. Then, contestants will go through seven heart-racing rounds to win one million pesos.
1000 Heartbeats-Pintig Pinoy airs its pilot episode on Sunday, March 21 at 8 PM via TV5.
