Now down to its last week, the historic 15th edition of ABS-CBN’s long-running reality show, Pinoy Big Brother, will be crowning its newest Big Winner soon. Housemates: Amanda Zamora and Ralph Malibunas are still running to reach the Big Night.
Who among Liofer Pinatacan, Jie-Ann Romero, Kobie Brown, and Andrea Abaya will secure their place as part of the coveted Big Four?
After a grueling week of challenges to determine who among the remaining housemates will be part of the Big 4–Liofer, Kobie, Andrea, and Jie-Ann ultimately earned their spot at the Big Night. But does that mean they can now take a breath and enjoy their remaining days at the house? Unfortunately, no, as the final week of the season will have two contenders trying to secure a slot in the Big Four, for themselves. That means Amanda and Ralph—who are both selected by the public to become Big 4challengers—can still end up as PBB Connect’s Big Winner.
The road to the Big 4 for Liofer, Jie-Ann, Andrea, and Kobie–not easy as the Karapat Dapat challenges maybe some of the physically demanding tasks—and some of the most creative, too—Kuya has ever given to his housemate, which all of them triumphantly hurdled. The seven remaining housemates had to go through a week of an enervating and painstaking process. Strategies and physical strength are demanded from the housemates for them to emerge successfully. No one could say luck did play a huge impact and contribution to the outcome of the challenges.
Liofer, a Zamboanga del Sur-native, shared one of the heartwarming moments of this season when he broke down to tears the very moment he secured one of the Big Four slots, following his fellow contenders’ failure to raise their flags, for them to challenge Liofer, during the challenge where they were tasked to build their towers. Interestingly, Liofer has always been regarded by his fellow housemates, as among the strongest contenders inside the house. His fan support, however, is yet to be tested, as his name never made it to the nominees’ list.
Andrea, is no doubt, one of the housemates with the strongest following outside the house, for while she was never named as one of the nominees for eviction, the two ‘ships’—CrisDrea and KoDrea—currently sailing in social media, are screaming testament to the overwhelming fan support. There is no doubt now, that she will do well, in the voting, once the Big Winner selection gets underway.
Kobie’s neck-and-neck battle with fellow housemate, Chico Alicaya, is one proud moment any housemate would cherish. There is also no denying that the Fil-British contender has a powerful fanbase in the real world, but it’s going to take him more than that to win this season. Him fitting the PBB’s AmBoy template can be a real advantage, but he also has the awaiting KoDrea fans, who will support his venture to showbiz, should ABS-CBN decides to take a shot with the ‘ship’ as a potential love team.
Jie-Ann Romero, like Andrea and Liofer, never made it to the nominees-for-eviction list, and her real\ world support has always been in question. Her personality, however, is reminiscent of past seasons’ strong contenders, like Pamu, and Yamyam, who both received massive support from the voting public, because of their hilarious antics and economic background.
Who among Jie Ann, Kobie, Andrea, and Liofer, will ultimately emerge as the 15th Big Winner of Pinoy Big Brother? Will Amanda and Ralph nudge two of the current Big Four housemates off their slots?
