‘It’s Showtime’ host Vice Ganda addresses questions on why the show is airing replay episodes.
Since March 18, netizens have observed that the show is not live nor airing a fresh episode.
Avid viewers then began asking about the reason for the replay. Some of them are worried thinking that an ABS-CBN staff might have tested positive for COVID-19 since ‘Magandang Buhay’ also aired a replay episode. Some also speculated that the show is prepping to move to their new studio, as Vice Ganda previously teased.
As netizens demand the management to release a statement about it, Vice Ganda revealed the reason behind their replay episodes.
Accordingly, this is part of ABS-CBN’s precautionary measure to help in preventing the spread of COVID-19. Voluntarily, the network decides to suspend live programs to help the country from the spike of cases lately.
“ABS-CBN decided to not hold LIVE programs that’s why replay muna ang shows to help the country from the surge (of COVID-19 cases),” Vice said.
It has been a year since the lockdown was imposed due to the pandemic but our country’s situation is not getting any better.
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN has decided to put on hold the live staging of its noontime show ‘It’s Showtime’ on its official statement this afternoon.
