It would be difficult to believe that a prominent host, the Philippines’ King of Talk would not get any offers after his former Network shut down.
Boy Abunda shared during his The Best Talk virtual media conference that he opted to have his contract suspended after the shutdown.
“Ako may contract is suspended,” he revealed.
After the shutdown, Abunda admitted that he did get offers from other networks to do a show. However, he rejected all of it. The reason is that he wanted to rest during this pandemic.
“I will be lying if I said I didn’t get offers to do talk shows. But it was a decision that I wanted also to rest.
“For almost 30 years I’ve been doing talks, sabi ko ‘magpahinga ka muna nang kaunti. Wala ka nang ginawa kundi dumaldal’,” he told himself.
The King of Talk then shared how he enjoys the break from doing shows. He stayed in his rest house in Tagaytay in solace for seven days.
“Before this media con, I was in my rest house in Tagaytay. I was there for seven days. And believe it or not, I enjoyed it.
“Bigyan mo lang ako ng isang libro, leave me in a corner, I’m fine,” Abunda shared.
