Anak ni Waray vs. Anak ni Biday has finally ended, and the much-anticipated series of GMA Network, First Yaya will replace the vacated timeslot.
Can First Yaya meet the bar set by its predecessor, now that it going to be available in all of GMA Network’s channels?
Despite the pressure, the Gabby Concepcion-Sanya Lopez-starrer, First Yaya definitely has some strong reasons why it became a much-awaited series for the Kapuso Network.
Its story is inspirational in its own right.
First Yaya is about an ordinary woman (Lopez) who gets the extraordinary responsibility of taking care of the President’s children. Also, she falls in love with the highest officer in the country.
Also, this will be the first pairing of the award-winning actor Concepcion with Lopez.
Their supporting cast members are fully prepared to take on their roles of being the PSG or Presidential Security Group. They have conducted seminars and training sessions to embrace the President’s security detail.
The audience will also get to see the debut of the love team of Cassy Legaspi and Joaquin Domagoso in the coming series.
Also, each scene will unfold under the direction of esteemed director LA Madridejos and associate director Rechie del Carmen.
The First Yaya will also have an advantage over other networks when it comes to coverage. ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida is at full blast on free TV due to its partnership with A2Z and TV5; the series will air on three channels of the Kapuso network.
It will be on GMA Network’s main channel, then on its sister channel GTV, and its digital channel–the Heart of Asia.
Meanwhile, the joint forces of ABS-CBN, A2Z, and TV5 have total stations of 10, eight stations from TV5 and two on A2Z. However, GMA Network has combined stations of 89. In the main channel, it has 52 TV stations; 31 on GTV, and six stations on GMA Network’s digital signal.
Now that First Yaya is going to be aired on three channels, with over 89 stations, will it be on par with its predecessor’s Anak ni Waray vs. Anak ni Biday? Find out this week, March 15 on GMA Primetime Afternoon.
